Different Types of Weapons – Which Should You Choose?
On February 14, 2022 by adminDifferent types of weapons, each perfect in their own way.
Which type is right for you? We’ll give you a rundown so that you can choose the best weapon to suit your character and playstyle!
You will start off with a choice between two weapons, depending on which starting class you pick. After that it’s up to you what kind of weapon to use – do you want something that allows an all-out offensive? Or maybe something that sacrifices damage for control? Each weapon has its own unique set of perks and abilities. This guide will help give some insight into which ones might be right for your character!
The Standard Sword The standard sword deals decent base damage, but has limited combo potential due to its single-strike nature. It’s light enough to keep momentum up, but its range is on the shorter side.
The multi-hit swords are similar to their single-hit counterparts in terms of damage… But what they lack in base damage per hit, they make up for with more opportunities to deal it! And if you can pull off all hits successfully, that’s just massive burst damage right there.
However – each successive strike requires more time and space to land properly, so watch your positioning carefully!
The dual swords have very good range compared to other weapons. However, it will cut your movement speed significantly while you’re using them – not only when attacking though! This makes them difficult to use effectively at times. Just remember: “Two is always better than one.”
The greatsword is a heavy hitter that goes through enemies. Just think of it as a moving wall; while its attacks aren’t the quickest, they make up for it by inflicting massive damage and staggering foes in a wide area – perfect for causing crowds to scatter! When you feel like clearing out the room, this is the weapon to use.
The scythe has both close and long range capabilities, allowing you to maintain your distance against other players while also cutting down mobs of enemies quickly. Its super armor-breaking ability allows you to cut through player defenses or even kick them off their feet if aimed at their legs! It’s not an easy weapon to master though – get too carried away with spinning and you’ll become dizzy and lose control!
The hammer is a great choice for both offense and defense. While it’s got good range, the area of effect on its square attacks are short-to-mid, so be careful when using them against other players. It can also guard against other weapons easily by using its round attacks to deflect their path… But only if you time it right!
The dagger really excels in indoor areas where there are lots of enemies clustered together. Its wide attack arc makes it easy to hit large numbers of opponents who are just standing around – plus it allows you to dodge while attacking at the same time! Plus, if an enemy ends up behind you while you’re swinging your dagger around, don’t panic – just press the jump button and you’ll leap backwards and out of harm’s way!
The claw is a great choice for those who like to dish out damage at close range. It inflicts both impact and cutting damage, so it’s not only great for staggering foes, but also inflicting stagger as well. And if your enemy ends up lying on their back after one of your attacks, follow up with an attack while they’re down for extra damage!
Just be careful not to get too carried away with your combo attacks… Once you reach five strikes in a row, you’ll go into overdrive mode where each successive strike will require more time to recover from. Use this to your advantage by timing that moment right before you activate overdrive to give yourself some breathing room!
The spear is a long-ranged weapon capable of hitting enemies in most directions. Because it doesn’t inflict impact damage, it’s best used against foes who are more susceptible to cutting damage. Plus, you can guard with the spear just like the hammer – but watch out for its slow attack speed when trying to do so at close range!
And if your foe ends up too close for comfort, use the spear’s round attack to sweep them off their feet! If you’re not satisfied just yet… You can always stab them quickly with its thrust attack!
The Chain Whip has fast attacks and excellent mobility, making it great for both offense and defense. It inflicts both impact damage and cutting damage, making it a great choice against nearly any enemy! And if an opponent gets too close, don’t just try to attack them – instead, move away from them and use the whip’s range to your advantage!
The Kusarigama is a weapon that can give you the upper hand in combat by inflicting both impact damage and cutting damage. In other words, it inflicts status effects as well as regular damage! Use its ability to inflict poison on enemies to your advantage… But be aware that being poisoned also affects you as well!
The bow works best when used at a distance. While arrows have slow travel time, they inflict a lot of stun on their target so even if you miss with one arrow, there’s a chance you’ll stun your foe and leave them wide open for a follow-up attack! Its piercing ability allows you to inflict cutting damage on clustered enemies as well, so use that to your advantage!
And if you find yourself in a tight spot… Use its round attack to sweep nearby foes off their feet – plus it can guard against other weapons as well. In fact, the bow is one of the best choices when going up against an enemy armed with a spear or hammer!
The gauntlets are a weapon that inflicts both impact and cutting damage, making it a great choice against most foes. Its charge attacks hit hard, but be careful about using them at close range since they’re slow and leave you open an easy counterattack. The gauntlets also have a round attack that can inflict impact damage and knock foes off their feet, so use that to your advantage when faced with a clustered group of enemies!
The kusarigama is a weapon you should choose if you want the ability to inflict status effects on foes while dealing good damage in return. In other words, it’s best used against enemies who are weak to poison or paralysis. It inflicts cutting damage, but its effectiveness depends on how much your attack rating is for slashing attacks – so be sure to try out different combinations of attacks until you find one that fits your playstyle!
